Hi, I'm Griffin, CEO & Founder of Smart Generosity. I started Smart Generosity because 5DayDeal sends donations to charities every year, and I wanted to earn credit card points for hotels and travel from that generosity, without the charities receiving less or us paying more in fees.

  • How can I be sure no fees are deducted?

    We’ve processed millions of dollars in donations through this system, with fees generously covered by the payment processor. Follow our easy steps, and we guarantee 100% of your donation will go directly to charity.

  • What types of rewards can I earn?

    The rewards are entirely up to your credit card! Some cards offer 1–2% cashback, while others give hotel points, airline miles, or versatile points you can redeem for a variety of perks.

  • How is this different from donating directly to a charity?

    With our proven system you can still donate to the charity or charities of your choice but do it via credit card and ensure that the charity will not lose 3% of the transaction to fees. It’s a win-win: the charity keeps the full amount, you earn rewards, and everyone benefits!

  • Can I donate to multiple charities or just one?

    You can donate to as few or as many charities as you want to. After you make the initial $10,000 or more donation, your donation will go into a special platform that will allow you to donate as much or as little as desired to every 501(c)3 charity you desire. You can donate $1,000 to 10 charities, $500 to 20 charities, etc. With our system all your donations can also be tracked either privately via your account or publicly via a special, sharable giving fund page. You can even split donations and make some public and others private if desired.

  • Am I only able to use one credit card?

    You can split your donations between up to two credit cards easily if desired.

  • Will I need help once I learn the system in order to donate again in the future?

    No. We have worked hard to make this such an easy and repeatable system. We understand your most precious resource is your time. The initial setup time will take about 20 minutes or less and then only minutes per year after that. This is such an easy system, once you know it, you can use it again and again to make an initial donation of $10,000 or more and continue to rack up rewards while being generous.

  • Is my donation tax-deductible?

    Yes. You receive an official donation receipt from a registered 501(c)(3) right away, plus a record of each grant you make to your charities. As always, check with your tax professional for your situation.

  • Will my card treat the donation as a cash advance?

    No. In our members' experience the donation posts as a regular purchase, so it earns your card's normal points, miles or cash back. Check your card's terms for any category exclusions.

  • What if I'm giving less than $10,000 at a time?

    Apply anyway. The main system is built for gifts of $10,000 or more, but if you give smaller amounts we'll show you a simpler fee-free option at the end of the application.

  • Is there a guarantee?

    Yes, on our top membership level. If you follow the steps and your first $10,000+ donation has a fee taken out or doesn't reach your charity, we'll refund your membership in full. Just let us know within 30 days.
